Who is eligible to apply?
Scholarships are open to the spouses/registered domestic partners and dependent children of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers (active, retired, or deceased). Applicants must be US Citizens. The Children's Scholarship is for tuition assistance at an accredited four-year college or university only. The Spouses' Scholarship is for tuition assistance at an accredited four-year college or university, or a community college.
Does my application have to be postmarked or received by the deadline?
All applications and supporting documentation must be received by 5:00pm PST on the deadline listed on the scholarship packet. Applications received after that time will not be considered for judging.
Can I fax or email my application?
No. Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted in hard copy form via mail. Electronic submissions will not be considered for judging.
Do you have a physical address for FedEx or UPS submissions?
No. All applications must be sent to P.O. Box 3126, Quartz Hill, CA 93586. USPS Express Mail can often get your application to us overnight, though. We advise all applicants to plan properly and send their applications early.
How are scholarships paid?
Scholarship checks are sent directly to the winner's school and must be used directly toward tuition.
Are scholarships renewable?
No. Scholarships are a one-time award. Past winners are not eligible for any future awards at this time.
