ADMINISTRATORS ROSE We wish we all could be California girls! Then we could hang out with Rose all the time. Sunny southern California boasts a lot of treasures, and this lady is among the best, residing there with her husband, two sons and two adorable boxers. Those boxers are more like our unofficial mascots. A favorite activity on the boards is to dog sit "virtually" when Rose goes on vacation. Her kennel has live internet feed and there is no reality TV as good as making sure Gunner and Charlie are happy. WBTB is Rose's vision. She has a tremendous heart for the law enforcement community and a deep commitment to truly make a difference. The support and guidance we find on the boards is a mere whisper of what WBTB will accomplish in the months and years to come. Rose has helped us all to see that being a police wife is not just about making sacrifices at home. Being "behind the badge" also means that we can be positive, proactive influences in our communities as ambassadors for law enforcement. And, as a group, we also become valuable assets to our affiliated jurisdictions through service projects and grants. "Rose's work has empowered each of us to recognize and embrace the fact that we are the strength of our heros as we stand behind the badge."   DONNA From the heart of Texas, Donna brings her special talents to our Staff. She and her "DH" have been together for 20+ years so she qualifies as a veteran. At home, Donna applies her managing skills to running not only her home but also caring for other family in the area. Her invaluable experience has made her a perfect choice as a WBTB Board Member. Down time, when it exists, finds Donna enjoying activities like hunting and long-distance bike riding. Her other great love is horses, although she no longer owns any. She does have two dogs and a cat -- the cat was a stray that she FINALLY admits has become part of the family. On the boards, Donna shines with her no-nonsense approach to life. She will shoot straight with you, but always does it in sisterly love. One member says, "I know Donna won't tell me what I want to hear -- she'll tell me what I need to hear and what's right." Visitors to the boards get a special treat looking at Donna's vacation pictures which are frequently posted by Karen, another staff member. No one knows just how Karen gets ahold of these frequently embarrassing, sometimes questionable personal photos, but we are all glad for the laughs at Donna's expense!

MODERATORS KAREN Karen, affectionately shortened to Kar, comes to us from Tennessee. If you ever get the chance to talk to her, you'll know it's from DEEP in Tennessee. She is not only a police wife, but also the mother of an officer. And recently she has started working at the department herself. That makes her a triple-threat and her perspective can give you a whole new insight to "the life." Kar runs a fun house, a place where her two grown boys and their friends have always enjoyed hanging out. To hear the stories of paint ball fights and video game marathons makes us all want to come over and join in. Besides spending time with her family, Kar loves hockey and secretly following Donna on vacations with her camera. Kar plays a vital role in keeping our boards safe and secure for the members. Lennie swears Kar is part bloodhound. "Her ability to judge character is amazingly accurate. If I were to ever get married again, I'm asking Kar for her opinion first."   JESSIE Jessie has been with her LEO for over 20 years. He has been in Law Enforcement for over 18 years. They have three children; one VERY spoiled Pug and an equally spoiled Cat! "Family life can be very different when you are married to a police officer. It has been great finding this great bunch of friends in the same situation as me. Women you can turn to for advice, support, laughs and just to listen. Welcome to Wives Behind the Badge. - Jessie   JULZ Julz has been married for 12 years.  Her husband (Mr. Hooper) has been a LEO for 6 years. They have 3 (Oscar the Grouch, Zoe, Elmo) kids. (forgive..I forget if it's 6 or 7 )  LOL She wears many hats on WBTB...she is our Trivia Chat Coordinator, Moderator and resident Chaplain. She enjoys shopping at scratch and dent stores and going to church with her family.   STACEY Our Georgia peach has been married to her husband for 7 years ~ he has been a LEO for 14 years. They have two lovely little girls and a house full of pets. Stacey is a stay at home mom who's loves are scrap booking, stamping, making her own cards, NASCAR, Wives Behind the Badge and spending time with her family. She is our official greeter to all new members, Moderator, Membership/Roll Call Coordinator and uses her stamping talent to make our H.A.L.O.S. cards! "I hope that all our members at WBTB find all the love, support and friendships that I have found here." Stacey   LENNIE Lennie makes her home in a rural community near Seattle. She and her husband have been married since 2000 and since she has stuck it out this long, he's probably a keeper. In what can only be described as "weird" -- they have a remarkable relationship with Lennie's ex-dh and his wife who live down the road and all four parents work to raise 5 kids from that first marriage. Filling out the household are Lennie's 5 dogs who were all rescued animals and who deserve credit for preserving her sanity. She works as an office manager and her other jobs include being a dog trainer and emergency preparedness coordinator. Her hobbies include crafts of all kinds, genealogy, target shooting and camping. "Being busy, with my own interests, helps me cope with the separation and scheduling issues of dh's job. Heck, I look forward to alone time at home now!" "Before I found my support at WBTB, my marriage was headed for divorce court. I didn't think I could do it. Here I found my strength. I found understanding friends and role models. I found myself."
