Congratulations to the Winners of the 2012 Children of Law Enforcement Scholarship Winners
Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. (WBTB) is pleased to announce the winner of its 2012 Law Enforcement Children’s Scholarship is Chandler Shea Jennings from Seaside, California. Chandler will be graduating from Monterey High School and will be attending University of California, Santa Barbara in the Fall to study Biology with an emphasis in Marine Sciences. She is the daughter of a California Highway Patrol Lieutenant. She has volunteered over 500 hours at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and is a Varsity athlete in cross country, soccer, and track & field, all while maintaining a 4.33 overall GPA.
We are also pleased to announce the scholarship award for this year’s second place winner, Allie Beth Carpenter, of Decaturville, TN. Allie is the daughter of a Special Agent – Criminal Investigator with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and will be attending Freed Hardeman University in the fall studying Forensic Accounting. In addition to her volunteer work with many local community service organizations, Allie is a Varsity athlete in golf and soft ball and maintained an overall GPA of 4.15. Chandler and Allie are both outstanding young women with very bright futures. Wives Behind the Badge is proud to be able to help them achieve their educational goals and we look forward to seeing what their futures hold. The Wives Behind the Badge Law Enforcement Children’s Scholarship is offered every year to the dependent children of law enforcement officers. 2011 Law Enforcement Spouses’ Scholarship Winner
Wives Behind the Badge, Inc. is pleased to announce the winner of our 2011 Law Enforcement Spouses’ Scholarship is Alexis Davis of Mattawan, Michigan. Alexis is a student at Lewis University and is working towards her Master of Science in Public Safety Administration. Alexis is the wife of Brandon Davis, a Trooper with the Michigan State Police, a proud mother of two, and a current employee of the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department. She is active in her community and was also named Dispatcher of the Year for 2008 in Eaton County. Read More
